Thank you to everyone who made the second Ancient Drama in Performance conference a success.  

We’re particularly grateful to Martin Winkler, who graciously took over keynote responsibilities at the last minute when Frederick Ahl was unable to attend.

We’re pleased to announce the preliminary program for the conference.

In addition to our keynote speakers Frederick Ahl and David Wiles, the meeting will feature talks on a wide variety of topics by Via Baker, Geoff Bakewell, Reina Callier, Al Duncan, Mary-Kay Gamel, Robert Gregg, David Jacobson, Seth Jeppesen, Emily Jusino, Andrew Kimbrough, George Kovacs, Wilfred Major, Mark Mallett, Gary Mathews, Brett Rogers, Jennifer Starkey, Daniel Turkeltaub, and Timothy Wutrich.

Keynote Speakers Announced for Ancient Drama in Performance II

We are pleased to announce that Frederick Ahl and David Wiles have agreed to anchor the second Ancient Drama in Performance conference at Randolph College.

Please see the Call for Papers (in the links to the left) and consider submitting an abstract.

In any case, make plans to be in Lynchburg, Virginia, in October to meet with other scholars and practitioners of ancient drama.
